We are stoked that Allannah has joined our team. We asked her to tell us a little bit more about herself so that we could share it with you and so here she goes...
Name: Allanah Brown
Home town: Newquay, Cornwall, UK.
As a child I was obese and hated sport, until I saw surfing on the TV and fell in love. Growing up in Newquay meant that I had amazing waves on my doorstep and I took full advantage. I learnt to surf when I was 11, I lost the weight and a whole new world was opened up to me.
I have been working as a surfing instructor for 7 years, working all around the world and travelling in search of perfect waves and new experiences. so far i have spent 6 months in France, 9 months in Indonesia, 6 months in Sri Lanka, 5 months in Mexico, 1 year in Australia and some short trips to Morocco and Portugal.
When I am in the UK I compete on the UK pro tour and help run the women's surf club in Newquay.
I am also lucky enough to be part of the athlete program at Treviglas sports hub, where I am encouraged and motivated to get fitter for contests and to build my strength in the water.
I am new to the team here at Stupid and I am really excited to work with them, not only is the clothing stylish and original, it's great to be representing a brand that encourages you to live life to the full and how you want to live it no matter how stupid you look, we are definitely suited for each other!
In the future i can see myself surfing until i'm in a wheelchair, travelling around the world surfing world class waves and maybe growing up one day and starting up my own surf school/surf camp somewhere tropical!
