Team rider Maisie Hill - Winter 2014/2015

Posted on May 29 2015

2015 has been a crazy winter! This season was my first in the World Rookie Tour representing Great Britain. It was a massive learning curve to start off with, with two face splats in both qualification rounds in Italy and Switzerland; which didn't help with overall points! However after the World Rookie Tour I went on to pulling more backflips, plus new moves on the rails and 360's up on the home mountain of Morzine and Avoriaz.

This brought huge sense improvement where I went into the Brits with full confidence. I came home after the Brits with great new buddies and 5 top medals ( 3 GOLDS AND 2 SILVER ) in Slopestyle, Snowboard cross and Half-pipe. Best of all was winning the womens overall age groups gold in halfpipe!

Less than two weeks later I found that I had qualified for the French Nationals in Slopestyle. I put in such a clean run in the finals with a backflip over a large red kicker, board slide, high rail and 360 off the final jump. Totally stoked as this put me on top of the podium with gold and crowned French slopestyle under 16's National Champion!

It has been an awesome winter in mountains and road tripping around Europe.

Looking forward to the next move up in the Glaciers of Les Deux Alpes and Saas Fee this summer for more fun and park riding....
